Creativity Balanced
Creative jobs and projects are both empowering and exhausting. Freelancers, WFH employees and other creative professionals need to draw their own boundaries, which is much harder than it seems.
I'm coming off a very inspiring recording session that filled me up professionally & on a human level and yet, I often find that creative projects consume me until they are completed. Where is the balance in that?
I've been leaning into the ebb and flow of busy vs. calm. Letting slow time be slow while enjoying the work I am doing during busy times. I am still so much more than my creative projects and work, so filling up myself outside of work has been something I strive to keep up with, even if it takes some creativity.

Best of the Month
I do not binge TV often, but when I do...I binge an entire season in a weekend. Severance did that for me recently, and as incredible as the show was, so much of that was propelled forward by the eerie score by Theodore Shapiro that earned the show an Emmy nom for Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score). The music has so many textures, grounded in dissonant piano as well as large etherial pads. Listen to the full Severance Season 1 Score HERE >>
And if you're looking for something calming (and slightly creepy if you know the show), check out the 2 hour loop of Music of Wellness so your Innie can have a productive work day.

"Dripfield" by Goose
Produced & recorded by my incredible mentor D. James Goodwin at the Isokon (v1), this album is full of incredible sounds + ear candy moments. I am such a fan of Rick's voice and he really leads this album with his songwriting, guitar playing and singing, of course. Check out more from Goose HERE >>
